Employee Resource Group
Mission Statement
To serve as an intersecting program with the Corporate Equality Council to provide a unified Orlando Pride Chamber ERG resource hub that empowers corporate partners to grow and develop ERG’s, to serve as executive sponsors, offering guidance and support to ERG’s, BRG’s and TMN’s from all of the Pride Chambers Corporate Partners. The ERG Resource Hub also serves as a resource-sharing platform for corporate partners wanting to launch or improve an affinity group at their firm. This initiative is designed as a sanctuary for learning, growth, and open, meaningful dialogue, fostering community among all who live, work, and raise families here.
Vision
Under the Pride Chamber's CEC/ERG broad canopy, we collaborate with our corporate partners to establish a resource-sharing platform addressing ERG development, successes, and challenges through regular CEC/ERG caucuses. The ERG Resource Hub also provides subject matter experts to speak at affiliated ERG’s meetings, Pride events, and lunch and learns.
Under this initiative, leaders from the Corporate Equality Council and those of the Employee Resource Group Program would collaborate to mentor, educate and cultivate a symbiotic relationship between corporate entities and involved employees. Through structured ERG/CEC programming, we envision employees, Employee Resource Groups and smaller entities gaining insights and opportunities from their more established counterparts, fostering a vibrant, interconnected business community in Orlando, each learning from one another.
Goals
- Conduct groundbreaking Employee Resource Group (ERG) initiatives at no cost, under the expansive Pride Chambers initiative for inclusivity. This initiative invites participation from emerging small businesses, large corporations, other chambers of commerce, and their supporters. Financial backing from sponsorships will cover several events such as ERG/CEC mixers, panel discussions with experts, online seminars, educational workshops, and networking events. This initiative is designed to provide a free, comprehensive program that offers everyone a secure, inclusive, and diverse environment to grow.
- The ERG Program partners with the Corporate Equality Council to leverage the intersection with corporate leadership and their affinity groups, as well as the value of reciprocal support.
